The main building
Building 26 is a canon group which has been roleplayed in World 1: Redemption Vs Revenge, World 2: Reflections and World 8: Brave New World.
Location[]
Building 26 was located in a building of the same name, in Washington DC. The offices within were very low-key, designed to be deniable and able to be demolished quickly, at need. The operation also had several prison complexes scattered across America.
Purpose[]

The purpose of Building 26 was to deal with what they described as "the evolved human threat". They did not distinguish between powerful and weak individuals, or those who had control and lacked it, or those who abused their abilities and those who did not. Their aim was to imprison all known evolved humans, and then either to find a means of removing the abilities, or to kill them.

History[]
World 1[]
In World 1, the history of Building 26 corresponds quite closely to canon. It was set up in the same manner, and only operated for a few months. However, instead of being closed down in the same way as canon, it was shut down after negotiations between the government and several evolved humans, and the founding of The New Company was key to this settlement. At the same time, all of Building 26's prisons were raided by other evolved humans, and all its captives were freed.
World 2[]
In World 2, Building 26 was founded in the same way as canon, but it lasted a lot longer, continuing for over a year before being destroyed. Over this year, there was fierce fighting between its agents and several evolved humans who fought back. The actual building was eventually blown up and destroyed completely, with most of its agents dying in the blast. Emile Danko was believed to have died then, but he survived and went on to found B42 in Russia.
World 8[]
In World 8, Building 26 was founded by the government after it learned of the involvement of evolved humans in the release of the Shanti virus. They operated mainly in America, but had covert operations worldwide. Almost all who fought against them were members of REBEL. The main building was eventually destroyed in an explosion, which killed Emile Danko, and the operation was ceased after a cure for the virus was found, evolved humans saved the President from assassination, and the existence of abilities was exposed to the world.
