Charlie Deveaux

Charlie's birth was kept a secret, since his mother was thought to be dead. She somehow survived gunshot wounds and gave birth to Charlie. It is unknown how she survived or if she is still alive.

Evolved Human Abilities[]

Tattoo Animation

Charlie has the ability to create tattoos on his body and animate them into three-dimensional forms. The tattoos that he animates will function as if they have existed naturally. He is able to create animals and weapons from his body.

Hypnosis

His other ability is that he is capable of hypnotising people. Charlie can put people in a hypnotic state where they will listen to his voice and do whatever he says. The people will follow his commands and will only be able to overcome the effect if Charlie releases them from his power.

Air Mimicry

Lastly, Charlie is able to turn into air. He can consciously choose when to do so, but reflexively does so when attacked or harmed in any way. His whole body turns into air, making him invisible and also makes him capable of flying and transporting around faster.

Charlie is said to look like his father.

Etymology[]

The name Charlie means "free man" which could show how he has been made free from the world. His surname Deveaux is a varitan of Devault which in French means "valley". His paternal surname Mendez however has several meaning. The surname is used in many Spanish and Porutgese families, meaning "son of Mendo", however the names originated from Germany and has connections with the name Hermenegild, meaning "whole" and "present".
