Limits[]
Claire Bennet[]
When she wants to do so, Claire can paralyse any person with a touch. The contact doesn't have to be skin to skin, as long as she's still touching her victim. The longer the contact lasts, the longer the paralysis will last, and she can kill a person this way by preventing breathing. A person paralysed in this way would be able to think clearly, but would find movement and use of any abilities to be impossible. The first time Claire used this ability, it was accidental, but she has since taught herself to control her use of the ability, and by now will only paralyse deliberately and can also control the extent and length of the paralysis.
Hy Conrad[]
Similarly to Claire, Hy can paralyse others with any physical contact, and the longer this contact lasts, the longer the paralysis can last. She can also use the ability to kill by preventing breathing. She seems able to control the ability quite easily because of naturally being quite a calm person.
Marie Lewis[]
Marie can paralyse others with physical contact. She needs skin contact to do so, and the contact must last for at least a minute. Her victim will feel weakened and will then be unable to move. Marie can control the extent of the paralysis, leaving only a part of the person's body paralysed if she wishes. The paralysis will fade after two or three hours, if not reinforced with another touch, but she can also cause paralyses which last for a shorter time.
Katherine Petrelli[]
Katherine will be capable of inducing paralysis in others using physical contact. She will need skin to skin contact to do so. However, it will not matter how long that contact is for. When she paralyses a person, that individual will be completely unable to move, but will still breathe shallowly, and if they possess any abilities which require physical movement they will as a result also be unable to access those abilities. Their thought processes could sometimes also be slower than normal, as a result of the shock. Katherine will be the only person capable of releasing someone from her paralysis, and to do this she will again need skin to skin contact.
Abbie Gray[]
Abbie would have similar limits to her cousin, but is yet to display this ability.
Noah Gray[]
Noah has similar limits to his cousin and his sister.
Peter Petrelli[]
Peter has similar limits to his nieces and nephew.
