Protected senses is the ability for one's senses to be protected from exterior influence.
Characters[]
- Matt Parkman possesses this ability naturally in World 8.
- Darcie Alexander will have this ability naturally.
Limits[]
Matt Parkman[]
Initially, this ability only protects Matt's senses from being inundated or damaged naturally, meaning that for example he could be exposed to bright lights without being blinded, or hear 190 decibels of sound without being deafened. He wouldn't even be hurt by these, and they couldn't be used to disorientate him or block his use of other abilities. He manifested the ability when sirens and bright lights were used to prevent him accessing telepathy. Later, his ability will develop, so that his senses also can't be manipulated or paralysed away, and that sensory shields and illusions will fail. However, it will never prevent him from losing his senses when he accesses his fourth ability.
Darcie Alexander[]
This ability will protect all five of Darcie's senses from manipulation and harm. She couldn't be blinded or deafened, either naturally or by the use of another ability. Her senses couldn't be overwhelmed to make her lose her concentration, and sensory overload couldn't be used to hurt her. She will even be capable of seeing through sensory illusions automatically.
