Bob was the chairman of the company who was experimenting with different strains of the virus. Bob's co-founder Angela Petrelli knew that the virus would be released and needed to be chairwomen to make the right decisions. Bob was fake assassinated by Joshua Evans, Noah Bennet and Lauren Gilmore. After the 'assassination' Bob remained in his private house in Main until he was killed by Rhia Jones. After he was attacked by the virus he fell and hit his head on the stairs killing him. However, years later, it was revealed that his body had been preserved by the company, and eventually he was revived by Joshua using regenerative blood. He then revealed that his wife, Katherine Bishop, was also still alive.
