Sin infliction is the ability to induce any of the seven deadly sins upon a person.

Limits[]
This ability can be used to inflict greed, lust, envy, gluttony, anger, sloth or pride upon another person. Normally a person's sin will be chosen on a reflection of their personality and present circumstances, but it is possible to infect a person with any sin, or a targeted sin. Because of this reflection of circumstances, a randomly given sin can be changed by altering the circumstances in which a person was infected. The effects on a person will vary depending on the sin they are given, but the sin will almost always overcome them and control their behaviour completely for several hours unless reversed. The effects will, however, eventually wear off. The villain is known to have randomly infected Tessa Petrelli with pride, causing her to take reckless risks to prove herself which led to her death. When time was changed and Layton Bishop was also present, they were both instead infected with lust.
